The Inholland team is developing an awareness model classifying different levels of awareness about intergenerational learning in organisations and its benefits. The team recognizes that there is an increasing awareness in organisations about aging and its consquences for organizations. Four levels of awareness are important:

1. general awareness about the fact that the work population is ageing

2. awareness about the consequences of the ageing population for organisations

3. awareness about increasing diversity and its consequences in organisations in general and age-diversity in particular

4. awareness about the goals, benefits and possibilities of intergenerational learning
